Historic Rook Theater

Built in1929, the Art Deco Rook Theater has recently been restored as a
community event center. Tours by appointment only or may be rented for gatherings.


Metcalfe Museum

In Durham (north of Cheyenne),The homestead of Western artist
Augusta Metcalfe is now The Break O’ Day Farm & Metcalfe Museum, which is on the National Register of
Historic Places listings in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.

Roger Mills County Courthouse

The original sod jail was incorporated into the modern half buried
courthouse, built in 1985. Sculptures and historical photos decorate the interior.

South Canadian River

Flows through a steep and hilly canyon. On the northern side of the River in Ellis
County is the Packsaddle Wildlife Management Area, 19,659 acres (7,956 ha) of mixed grass prairie, forested
river bottomland, and colorful red sand hills. Hunting for white-tailed deer, quail, and turkey is popular.
